Sail on silvergirl, sail on by

I was born and raised around the Mississippi River. Aside from my brief stint in The Concrete Ranch (our apartment in Crystal, MN), I've pretty much always lived within walking distance of it.

Well, A2 doesn't have anything close to the Mississippi, nor does it have chains of lakes. So, I'll just have to settle for the Huron River and Traver Creek for the next couple of years. Le sigh.

tell me about it. Arizona is pretty much completely lacking in the bodies of water department.

i just saw how close A2 is to Detroit...Southwest Airlines down here has this great "DING" program, where flights can sometimes pop up for $45/one way. just something to think about... :)

Ok, but do you realize how close you are to 1000s of inland lakes, not to mention 3 Great Lakes? Pull out a map and you'll find you're within an hour of a bunch state and metro parks. All you need to do is drive up 23. Besides, the Huron River drive north of town is very scenic, especially in the fall.
